¡La crafty guía de Nueva York! Es decir, la guía de las tiendas de manualidades más geniales de Nueva York.

Mostruitos, after our return to Madrid from New York here comes what we were waiting ... The crafty guide to New York! In other words, the guide of the coolest craft stores in New York.

Empezamos nuestro tour por la gran manzana en una tienda situada en el maravilloso distrito del Soho. Se llama Paper Source, y nosotras las monstruitas la conocimos por primera vez en San Francisco, quedándonos enamoradas de ella.

We begin our tour around the Big Apple at a store located in the beautiful district of Soho. It's called Paper Source, and we, the little monsters, first met it in San Francisco, felling in love with her.

Es una tienda de scrapbooking, papelería, regalos, decoración... ¡Todo en una! Tiene una selección de sellos muy buena, y podemos ver cómo quedan en la muestra que tienen en los murales de la pared.

It's a scrapbooking, stationery, gifts, decoration store. All in one! It has a very good selection of stamps, and we can see how they look in the sample they have on the wall murals.

En la tienda han dispuesto una mesa en la que hacen demostraciones, si tienes dudas sobre cómo se usa algún producto no dudan en enseñartelo, ¡las dependientas son muy simpáticas! También realizan talleres en la tienda, ¡ojalá pudiéramos haber asistido a alguno!

In the store there is a table where they do demonstrations, if you have questions about how to use a product they do not hesitate to show it, the clerks are very nice! They also conduct workshops at the store, we wish we could have attended one!

Si viajáis a Estados Unidos no dudéis en visitarla, os encantará. En Nueva York visitamos la de la 83 Spring Street, pero tienen tiendas por todo el país.

La siguiente tienda supertienda de nuestra ruta es Michaels. Más que una tienda es un gran supermercado de manualidades, ¿os lo imagináis? Como una planta del Corte Inglés dedicada sólo a las manualidades.

The next shop superstore on our route is Michaels. It's more like a supercraftmarket, do you imagine it?

Está dividida en pasillos de todo tipo: arte, niños, bisutería, scrapbooking, cocina, decoración... ¡una locura! Estuvimos en la tienda casi una hora y sólo pudimos ver un pasillo... ¡con eso lo digo todo!

It is divided into corridors of every kind: art, children, jewelry, scrapbooking, cooking, decoration ...Crazy! We were in the store about an hour and we could only see a hallway ... that says it all!

Lo mejor de la tienda: sus precios. Aparentemente todo es más barato cuando llegas a la caja, ¡parece que todo está rebajado! Encontramos este maravilloso puesto con sellos a un dolar (que, mágicamente, al llegar a la caja se convierten en 0,60 céntimos). No os quiero contar el dinero que nos gastamos en la tienda...

Best of the store: their prices. Apparently everything is cheaper when you get to the cashier, everything seems to be lowered! We found this wonderful stand with one dollar stamps (which, magically, when we reach the cashier become 0.60 cents). Do not want to tell you the amount of money we spend in the store...

Uno de los pasillos de scrapbooking está dedicado sólo a papeles: con algún patrón, de colores lisos, en paquetes por temáticas...

One of the halls is dedicated just to scrapbooking papers: with a pattern, solid colors, packaged by theme...

Luego encontramos otros ¡dos pasillos! de pegatinas geniales, por temáticas. Las hay de música, de colegio, de deportes, de vacaciones, de ciudades, de animales, de boda, de cumpleaños, etc.

Then we found other two hallways of cool stickers, by theme. They come in music, school, sports, holidays, cities, animals, weddings, birthdays, etc..

 También podemos encontrar diferentes tiendas Michaels por todo Estados Unidos. La que visitamos está en Manhattan, en el número 808 de Columbus Avenue.

We can also find a lot of Michaels store all around the USA. The one we visited it is located in the 808 Columbus Avenue.

Lee's Art Shop es una tienda de arte y decoración. Tienen una sección de manualidades muy curiosa, con materiales que no podemos ver por aquí. La sección de scrapbooking es pequeñita pero también tiene materiales muy interesantes.

Lee's Art Shop is a store of art and decoration. They have a very curious craft section with materials that you can't find here in Spain. The scrapbooking section is tiny but also has very interesting materials.

Dentro de la sección de scrapbooking tienen un apartado de Martha Stewart. Nos encantaron los troqueladores, funcionan con imanes, de manera que se puede troquelar cualquier parte del papel. ¡Muy funcionales aunque algo caros!

Inside the scrapbooking corridor there is a Martha Stewart section. We loved the punches, which operate with magnets, so as you can cut anywhere in the paper.Very functional but somewhat expensive!

Another of our favorite stores in NY is The Ink Pad. Even the front door window is great!

¿Os imagináis un espacio con las cuatro paredes repletas de sellos? No hace falta que os lo imaginéis porque existe. ¡El paraíso de los sellos!

Los sellos están colocados por categorías. Animales, bautizos, transportes, personajes famosos, letras, bodas, mass media, Halloween... También venden washi tapes, papeles, cintas, etc.En fin, ¡todo lo que necesites!

Es una tienda con un encanto especial, con todos esos colores y estampados geniales. También venden herramientas, tijeras y libros muy interesantes.

La selección de telas es impresionante, con telas infantiles, japonesas, floreadas... Se pueden comprar también en pequeños paquetitos preparados (¡para nuestro gusto un poco caros!)

Merece la pena visitarla, aunque sólo sea para impregnarse de los colores, el estilo, y la tranquilidad que se respira en ese lugar. Podéis encontrar la tienda en el 459 de Broome Street.
